Why free-range? An ethical farming practice, raising poultry free-range at our family farm aligns with our values of service and excellence. We believe in the humane treatment of our animals and the integrity of our family farm. Our free-range chickens have open access to the outdoors for roaming and are not restrained in tight quarters. Our pastures are not treated with pesticides and are seeded with native Ohio grasses to provide an ideal environment for our poultry to forage.
Grass-Finished Cattle Provide Optimally Marbled All-Natural Beef.
At Hidden Pastures Farm, we practice intensive grazing, moving the cattle from paddock to paddock in pesticide-free pastures for the health of our animals and land. Our cattle freely roam among healthy grasses to eat a natural amount of food with No Added Hormones. We never crowd our cattle, giving them plenty of room to graze. Grass-finishing on fertile pastures helps produce well-marbled all-natural beef that tastes incredible!
Enjoy a wide selection of tasty pork products from our Berkshire Cross swine. After nursing with their mothers, our pigs are raised on natural diets that are nutritionally supplemented with non-gmo swine feed produced right here at Sunrise Farms. Neither underfed nor overfed, our pigs eat to grow at a natural, normal rate. We take pride in the incredible-tasting pork products that come from our healthy swine.
Our free-range layer chickens have easy access to the outdoors and sleep indoors at night for safety. During the day, our layers self-feed and naturally forage. Our chickens eat at will, consuming natural amounts to grow at a natural rate. The time it takes to ethically raise our flock is well worth the wait for flavorful eggs and healthy chickens. Free-range hens have been found to lay eggs that are lower in cholesterol and saturated fat for your backyard barbecue!
Research supports that local raw honey-- obtained as close as possible to where you live--may help build an immunity to some seasonal allergies.
Store bought honey often looks clear and syrupy. Raw honey has not been treated with heat; it is often more buttery, solid and opaque than pasteurized honey and often contains small pieces of beeswax.
It is completely left in its natural state and therefore contains pollen, enzymes, antioxidants and many other beneficial compounds.
